The Vice President of External Affairs (VPEA) serves as Georgia Tech’s chief liaison to the broader Atlanta and Georgia communities, advancing the Institute’s presence through civic engagement, government relations, and community partnerships. The VPEA champions student interests at the local, state, and federal levels—building relationships with elected officials, public agencies, and advocacy groups—while fostering collaboration between Georgia Tech and organizations across Georgia. This role ensures that Georgia Tech acts as a responsible civic partner and empowers students to make a meaningful impact beyond campus through service, leadership, and public engagement.
